Retirement Investment Options

By Joe James

There are many retirement saving options out there for people looking to invest in their future. The two most important ones are the 401k and the IRA. There are many different types of each of these options. Both options have different rules too. However, if you use these two options together, you will be able to save a lot of money for your retirement.

401k is named after the tax code which is relates too. This is a employer based retirement plan in which you pay money into the plan before you are taxes. The money is then invested into the stock options you picked. The employer also contributes to the number too. The money is taxed on the way out so if you are in a higher tax bracket you will have to pay more money.

In a 401(K), you can invest up to 14,000 dollars per year and that includes both your contribution and that of your employer. Employee and employer combined contributions must be lesser of 100% of employee's salary or $46k. 401(K)'s are good investment so long as your employer's matches your contributions. But the thing to think about is this: do you plan to be in a higher tax bracket when you are older? If the answer is yes, then you want to invest more of your money into an IRA.

An IRA is a pension scheme meant for individuals. You can decide on when to invest, how to invest and the amount which you plan to invest in a particular year. The investment limit is $5000 a year for age 49 or below; $6000 a year for age 50 or above in 2009. These limits are total for traditional IRA and Roth IRA contributions combined. Withdrawals are tax free up to the limit you have paid in. This is because you already paid taxes on them before you invested. Unlike a 401(K), this is made by you and not tied to your job. You can hold cash, bonds, or stocks. IRAs are subject to a lot of rules but are more flexible in terms of investments than a 401(K).

You should invest in both if you can. This way you get the most benefit on your taxes. Investing in a 401k reduces your taxes now and an IRA reduces your taxes in the future. The trick is to find the right balance so you are always saving money on taxes. The best deal though is the IRA as you will probably pay more taxes in the future so you don't want all the money in a 401k to be taxed at a high percentage.

Saving for your retirement is important as you want to be able to afford all the things you want to see and enjoy when you are older. By investing in these options, you'll be able to maximize your retirement savings. After all, your goal is to never work again so you'll want to save as much as you can. - 23229

Popular Forex Signals

By Bart Icles

Forex signals or indicators are those series of data points that are used in predicting currency movements. These signals are used by forex investors to evaluate how a certain currency will most likely perform in the future. Using forex signals in forex trading can certainly be to your advantage. They give hints on which currencies are most likely to become profitable and which ones are most likely not to perform as well in the short term.

One of the most popular forex signals is the relative strength index or RSI. It measures the ratios of upward and downward movements of currencies with use of normalized calculations so that indices can be expressed in a range of 1-100. An RSI of 70 and more means that a certain currency is overbought, while an RSI of 30 and less shows that a currency is oversold. A currency is overbought when its price has risen more than what the market has expected and it is oversold when its price has fallen more than what the market has foreseen.

The stochastic oscillator is a forex signal used in showing the overbought and oversold conditions on a scale of 0% to 100%. It is based on observations of currency buying movements. When currency buying moves in an upward trend, the closing prices of currencies would tend to concentrate in the higher part of the range for that period, and when currency buying moves in a downward trend, closing prices of currencies would most likely fall near the extreme low of the range for that certain period.

Another signal used in forex trading is the average true range or ATR. The ATR was developed to give forex traders a feel of the historical volatility of a currency in preparation for actual forex trading. Forex currency pairs that have lower ATR readings suggest lower volatility, while those currency pairs that have higher ATR readings suggest higher volatility and would often necessitate appropriate trading adjustments.

The moving average convergence divergence or MACD indicator is another forex signal that is worth mentioning. This forex signal involves the plotting of the MACD line and the trigger line. The MACD line shows the difference between two exponential moving averages like the buying and selling prices while the trigger line shows the exponential moving averages of their differences. Once the MACD and trigger lines cross, one can say that a change in the movement trend is to be expected. - 23229

Two Great Reasons To Invest In Silver Eagle Monster Boxes

By Christina Goldman

Here's how buying Silver Eagle Monster Boxes can save you alot of money. Typically, when you purchase American Eagle Silver coins, your price will be based upon the current market spot price. The coin dealer will then add a premium per silver bullion coin purchased. However, the greater the quantity of silver coin that is purchased, the cheaper the price will be. As an added bonus, free shipping for large orders is offered by many bullion dealers.

Another valid reason for purchasing Silver Eagle Monster Boxes is the shortage situation in silver bullion. Because of the selloff in the stock market, the financial turmoil in the credit markets and increase in bank failures, investors are turning to hard assets for protection and diversification. Unprecedented demand for silver bullion because of extreme investor demand has forced the the U.S. Mint to stop production of 2008 edition of the Silver Eagle.

The US Mint has rationed American Silver Eagles since early spring and is supplying the silver bullion coins to dealers on an allocation basis only.

Most dealers are shipping American Silver Eagle orders as they receive them from the U.S. Mint. In many cases, orders are experiencing significant delays and wait times of up to several months! Investors wishing to invest in Silver Eagles should purchase as many coins as they can afford now. There is a real risk that anyone wishing to purchase these silver bullion coins in the future will have to pay a huge premium to do so.

The American Silver Eagle coin is the most popular silver bullion coin. The Silver Eagle is not only beautiful but its silver content is guaranteed by the U.S. government. Each beautiful silver eagle coin contains 1 troy ounce of silver and is 99.9% pure. The American Silver Eagle is considered legal tender and can be converted to cash at any given time. - 23229

Mass Producing In Low Cost Areas

By Davina Cruella Sandwich

For many many years now, companies have been having their products mass-manufactured in Asia, usually in and around Southern China as this is now recognised as the global manufacturing centre of the world.

The main reason for this is because the currency in China (Yuan) is worth a lot less than British currency, American currency, or most other currencies for that matter.

So that's the main reason people source their products from China. Well, what more reason do you need to do something other than the fact that it will save you lots of money? There a a couple of minor disadvantages, and a few more advantages to boot.

The advantages are few, but still obliterate the disadvantages in my opinion. Of course the main one, price is a big factor as I previously mentioned. There are 11.2 Chinese Yuan for every 1 British pound so you do get a lot more for your money.

Also, you can get in with the Chinese trading industry, and if you can become known among them, this can be infinitely advantageous. Another advantage is that you will undoubtedly wind up closer to the raw materials you need, hence you save money on that as well!

The disadvantages, I would say, are severely disproportionate to the advantages in that they seem relatively insignificant. The main disadvantage is the shipping cost. Actually getting your produced product back to the UK/USA/wherever you are based can be a bit pricey, but compared with the money you will have saved on the actual production, I think this is an insignificance.

As well as that, there's the time that shipping takes. This is probably more of a disadvantage as this could result in loss of turnover if demand for your product is high enough. Also, the production might be a little sloppy to start with, but if you get a good sourcing company to sort it all out for you, they will ensure that this doesn't happen.

In summary, it is my personal belief that sourcing form low cost countries such as Southern China is far more advantageous to businesses than domestic sourcing. - 23229

Helping Business Owners Understand Loan Consolidation

By Layla Vanderbilt

When you are a small business owner you must learn the importance of getting a loan consolidation. For the first few years you run your business you must be particularly careful with your finances. It is likely that you will go into debt at some time and have to get some type of loan consolidation. They will help you better manage your debt so they are reduced to one monthly payment. If you learn about loan consolidation you might be able to save your business from struggling in the future.

If you?re going to find a lender for a loan then you should have your finances prepared. However if you have someone else that handles your finances then you will need to get them organized properly first. It?s important to have a few specific statements with you. You should have a statement for your income, expenses, and debts. When you are putting together the information about your debts you should ensure that you include the interest rate and the amount of your monthly payments. This will allow the lender to see where you stand in terms of your finances. This could potentially help them make a decision in your favor.

The bank also offers consolidation loans if you don?t want to use a private lender. Sometimes the guidelines are stricter based on what guidelines corporate has set up for them. However, seeking loan consolidation from a bank is a good place to start if you have decent credit. Ask for the loan officer and fill out the application that he or she gives you. You will be able to determine what type of loan that will work best for you by talking to them about your business and your situation, and they may ask for other paperwork to be provided with your application. Make sure you turn it in as soon as possible so it doesn?t go out of date.

If you are unable to get a consolidation loan from the bank or want to try a different option because what they offer isn?t optimal for you then you can try other organizations. There are many organizations, both for profit and nonprofit, that offer small business loans to businesses. You can search online to find such organizations that offer these loans.

After checking through your various options you will need to pick a financial institution or organization that you will want to get the loan through. Start by filling out an application and including the documents that were mentioned above. You may want to even create a document with the time frame in which you plan to pay the lender back.

Sometimes the easiest and best way to settle business debt is by getting a business credit card. Depending on what you are able to get approved for, you may find cards that offer 0% interest rate for a few months. If you feel you will be able to pay off the debt with the card before the interest rates go up, you can work your way around paying extra fees for consulting a loan service. Take some time to look around for as many options as possible before settling with a company you are comfortable with. - 23229

Store Credit Cards and You

By Samatha Ferguson

If you can comfortably clear the outstanding amount on your store card when the bill arrives and are a regular customer of that particular retailer, it may be worth using a store card, as there could be plenty of benefits in doing so. Not only do you get a discount on your first purchase, there are usually other perks, such as bonus reward schemes, free catalogs or magazines, and special shopping days, where you can avoid the crowds and shop in peace. Jim Black gives customers 1% of what they spend in store back in the form of vouchers, for example, so if you are a regular customer this could be worth having.

Some retailers have launched credit cards alongside their store cards so you get the usual rewards of a store card for spending on the retailer-branded credit card. The danger is that while the APR tends to be lower than on a store card, it isnt as cheap as some of the best credit cards. And as you arent restricted to one store but can use it in whatever outlets you like, you could run up more debt on it than you were able to before. Check the APR before spending " and if it isnt that competitive (and you dont clear your balance every month) dont use it at all.

Set up a direct debit to pay the full amount due on your store card each month. Then, if you forget to pay one month " perhaps because youre on holiday " it will be paid regardless so you wont run up any interest.

As well as persuading you to take out a store card, many retailers will try to force you to buy card protection and, just for good measure, card payment protection as well:

Card protection: Covers you if your card is lost or stolen. A single call from you can cancel all your plastic and usually costs around $7 a month.

Card payment protection covers your store card repayments if you lose your job or become ill and cant work.

You would want to avoid both types of cover, as they are expensive and usually a waste of money. Dont be talked into signing up, no matter how persuasive the salesperson is. If you really want some card or payment protection, shop around for a good deal rather than automatically taking out the policy the store card provider offers: There is no obligation to do so and you will find a better deal elsewhere. Make sure you read the small print before signing anything. - 23229
